Speculative Atlas of London
The Speculative Atlas of London is an attempt to communicate urban plans as narrative.
The Atlas comprises ideas for new urban interventions at a variety of scales and is the result of collaborations between writers, urbanists and illustrators. Each concept is described in three ways: illustration, creative non-fiction and short fiction. These work together to replicate the complexity of human experience of place.
The Atlas was the culmination of ideas proposed during the planning workshops staged for Remake London, which attempted to critique London’s contemporary planning process as part of the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London.
